Today I joined the ranks of those who are in their mid-20s. It's actually not as eventful as I wanted it to be. I wanted to celebrate it with a BANG but budget constraints kind of killed all my plans. It was awesome though. I had a pretty good weekend and I think for now, it's enough.
Celebration started last Saturday, August 9. We had dinner at Banapple McKinley (because I was forced into it, thanks so much Kuya). It was uneventful, really. Just dinner and some laughs.
Monday was the big date with the amazing boyfriend. He had awesome plans but my feet kind of killed it. We went to Intramuros and went around. We also visited the Manila Cathedral. I've never been a religious person but I loved that he brought me there. I had some time to talk to the big guy in the sky. I haven't visited the church in a while and it was good to find some time. We also had dinner with Ralph and Mile at Project Pie - Shaw (which was EPIC).
We capped off the celebration on my actual birthday with a "surprise party" organized by my office mate, Beryl. It was Harry Potter inspired and it was fun.
Truth is, it wasn't the birthday I expected but it was pretty good. It made me even more thankful for what I do have regardless of how little they may seem to me at times. I have a great family and awesome friends and that's all that matters. I have people who love me. Crazy, bitchy, annoying, know-it-all and extremely moody as I may be. These people, they make life worth it.
Thanks, folks. For making my 25th fun. I love you all to the moon and back. <3
